quality is as important as quantity

Protein is an essential part of a dog's diet. It can come from either animal sources such as meat, fish and eggs, or vegetable sources such as peas, lentils and even wheat. Whilst dogs can survive on vegetable proteins, they thrive on animal proteins - it's what their bodies are designed to digest and it supports their optimum condition and health. For this reason we use high levels of mixed animal proteins in our recipes.

There are also differing levels of animal protein quality. Meat meal is a concentrated meat powder specifically for pet food. It is found in the vast majority of dry dog foods, often labelled as dried ground meat (dried ground chicken, for example, or dehydrated chicken). It's produced at high temperatures from animal by products and often includes artificial preservatives which don't have to be disclosed in the resulting dog food. The high temperatures used to produce meat meals reduces the nutritional value of the protein. For these reasons we never use meat meal in any of our products. We use high quality, ethically sourced fresh meat of human grade quality.

Fresh, Free-Run

An excellent form of protein, hypoallergenic and highly palatable for dogs. Our turkeys’ have an abundance of natural light which encourages them to express their natural behaviour indoors as well as outdoors, and an environment enriched with straw bales and toys to peck at and play with.

Fresh, Sustainably
Sourced Salmon

A great source of omega-3 fatty acids, fresh salmon can help support a healthy skin and coat. It is also an excellent form of protein, hypoallergenic and highly palatable for dogs. Our fresh salmon is sustainably sourced from the northeast Atlantic.

Sustainably Sourced
White Fish (Hydrolysed)

Fish protein, or hydrolysed fish, is a human grade quality form of protein supplement. The protein is broken down into smaller pieces (amino acids, the building blocks of protein) by food grade digestive enzymes giving it bioactive and antioxidant properties. This ingredient can have a positive impact on the stomach, gastrointestinal issues and dogs with allergies.

Whole Eggs

Eggs are a great source of very digestible protein, riboflavin, selenium and fatty acids. They are highly palatable and a great addition for dogs that are prone to digestive upset.

Glucosamine, Chondroitin
& Green Lipped Mussel

Our healthy joint blend of glucosamine, chondroitin and green lipped mussel protects joint cartilage, supports active mobility and has anti-imflammatory effects. Green lipped mussel contains very high concentrations of omega-3s and a unique combination of fatty acids that is not found in any other marine or plant life.

Grain free and packed full of slow release energy, sweet potatoes are rich in fibre and a great source of vitamins A, C and B6. Sweet potato is in all of our cold pressed recipes.

Coconut Oil

Not only is coconut oil great for your dog’s skin and coat, but it is a great source of the rare medium chain fatty acids (MCT’s) which can help to boost the metabolism so great for dog's that need to lose weight.
